…The $1.4 million price tag would cover a granite curbing and paved sidewalks. Selectmen also considered options to only do granite curbing for about $450,000 or create a widened paved area with a stripe for a bike lane for $302,400, but decided that for safety and longevity of the project, a granite curb minimum seemed the best option.
“All of the professionals have stated that the granite curb is preferred, so if we’re going to do something, it seems like the granite curb is where the money should be spent, but it is $450,000 just for the curbing,” Selectmen Chairman Gregg McBride said…
